A Peaceful Retreat

I thought this month I would show everyone the wonderful place where Soul Space lives now, in the beautiful village of Holmbury St. Mary, so that you can see where I look after my fabulous clients! I thought it would be really nice, to also promote the Holiday Lets and Coffee business here for the lovely owners, at the same time.

My Treatment Space

Soul Space is found at Number 2 Bulmer Farm, tucked away in the left corner, as you drive into the property, onto the beautiful courtyard. Parking is free, and it is a wonderful, quiet and beautiful location.

It is a lovely, light and peaceful space, with parking right outside for clients, with just two steps up into the treatment room (so is comfortable for those with mobility issues). I feel extremely fortunate to have found such a perfect spot to run my therapy business from.

The treatment room itself is large enough to be comfortable, but small enough to still be cosy! It also has a beautifully appointed toilet and shower room. I feel so lucky every single day to be here. It is my sanctuary as well as your retreat, and I love time spent here. Any breaks I have, I often go walking in the village, or sit in the courtyard with a book and read, or I use the time to catch up on some admin. Whatever I choose, Holmbury is such a relaxing place to be!

Bulmer Farm is so tranquil. All you hear is the odd clip-clop of horses trotting across the gravel, or the occasional gardener working outside. It has been the perfect place for me to re-set up the business, and my clients all love coming here.

The full address is: Bulmer Farm, Pasturewood Road, Holmbury St. Mary, Surrey RH5 6LG. The ease at which clients can just park up right outside my space is wonderful – no parking costs to worry about, or having to get back to the car in a car park on time.

Everything here is relaxing. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is expected. Nothing here is pressured. Just come, relax, be yourself and enjoy!

I always plan a minimum of 15-30 minute breaks between clients, so that none of us have to rush, and so I can still give full treatment times if a client is a few minutes late.

We are never disturbed here at Bulmer Farm – only the people that live here (and my clients) have access to the farm, so it is a very quiet, private and safe place to be. There is a ‘no entry’ sign at the entrance to the farm, so only invited guests and clients are allowed to park and visit here.

We are positioned brilliantly for all the local towns and villages, being just 15 minutes between Dorking and Cranleigh, and about 20 minutes from Guildford and Horsham, located in the middle of Leith Hill, Pitch Hill and Holmbury Hill, all wonderful for walkers and cyclists alike, having an abundance of woodland and miles of mountain bike trails on the doorstep. Newlands Corner, Leith Hill and Box Hill are all very close by too.

Holmbury St. Mary

Holmbury St. Mary is a beautiful, peaceful little village with a stunning church and two lovely pubs, and it is located inside the Hurtwood Forest (considered the largest area of common land in Surrey), so is perfect for woodland walking. The people are very friendly, and they have a wonderful community here.

Other lovely villages surround us too, such as Abinger, Forest Green, Gomshall, Shere, Ockley, Ewhurst and Peaslake, all within a 10 minute drive.

Foxholme

Ideal for families, this property has two bedrooms, one twin and one double. There is a full bathroom and an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area.

Badgerholt

This is a lovely one bedroom ‘cottage’ which can be made up with twin beds or a double bed, and benefits from an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a full bathroom.

No. 1

This property is ideal for a family with a double and single bed, as well as an ensuite shower. It has it’s own entrance from the courtyard into a lobby (which doubles as a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and induction hob) along with a toaster and kettle. Stairs lead from the lobby up the bedroom.

No. 3

This property is a cosy one bedroom self contained accommodation. It has a large king-sized bedroom (can be a twin room if preferred) and has an ensuite shower. It provides a full kitchen and cosy lounge area.

Heartwork Coffee

There is a lovely coffee business set up here onsite too – currently open from 8am to 3pm every day, so my daytime clients can also make use of this before or after their sessions, to extend their self care on those days! Lovely in the summer obviously with outdoor seating, but they also have an area that is undercover, for those rainy moments.
