Christmas is upon us again...

Hi all. I can’t believe Christmas is a week today! This month has been great – reconnecting with family, friends and clients, as I settle into life back at my parents and into my lovely new treatment space in Holmbury St. Mary. I have been lucky enough to get out and see the Christmas Glow event at Wisley, and the Christmas display at Polesden Lacey too, so I thought I’d share a few photos from those, to help get you into the Christmas spirit!

Two of my lovely clients and friends Ben and Tiegan, kindly invited me to the Wisley Glow event with them this month. Such a beautiful evening. Stunning lights and tree reflections everywhere, laser beams across the sky, and a wonderful light and music show over the water outside the main house this year.

Every year is wonderful at Christmas time at Wisley. They make so much effort to decorate the gardens to make it beautiful. We got there around 7pm which was a lovely quiet time to wander around, and take it all in. I always love the arch that they decorate with fairy lights there each year – it’s just magical.

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and it was definitely the first thing to make me feel festive this month! Lovely to share it with good friends, and it was such a nice place to take some colourful photographs.

I also went to Polesden Lacey House and Gardens twice this month, using my new National Trust membership. I went once on my own and once with my lovely friend Ann. It is only a short 5 minute drive or short stroll away from my parents house, so I’m lucky to be able to pop there anytime I have a little time off, for a nice walk. I used to work there in the kitchens years ago in my school and college holidays to earn a few pennies, so it’s nice to go back just to enjoy it, without having to wash up!

The entrance hall display and main Christmas tree was beautiful, and it was lovely to see that they had also laid a dinner setting in their stunning dining room display, for the main man himself (Father Christmas of course!).

They have a ‘Masquerade Ball’ theme there this year. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed wandering around the various displays, taking photos of all the wonderful costumes and different masks on show.

I think my favourite one was this lady in blue and gold – she was just stunning from head to toe. Such detail in all of the costumes – it is well worth a visit. The whole thing is a real feast for the eyes!

There were literally hundreds of decorations on the various trees in the house too. The ones that really caught my eye, were these beautiful embroidered baubles – I’ve not seen anything like these before.

As well as going to Wisley and Polesden Lacey this month, I was lucky enough to catch up with a dear friend Lesley at her lovely home in Hailsham. She has the most wonderful view from her lounge at night as the sun sets, and you get to see the lovely silhouettes of the trees, filled with birds at the top.

Then the next morning we headed off to my happy place at Seaford, for a blustery walk along the beach! We had a lovely coffee and toastie to start with to keep us warm! I never get bored of the view there…whatever the time of year, and whatever the weather. The waves were crashing in that morning and it was chilly, so we didn’t stay too long, but it was wonderful nevertheless.

I am looking to expand the business in my new location in 2025 – particularly those that can do daytimes, as I only have a couple of regular evening slots left!
